Finally... It's Updated.

Holy crap! Keyboard Cat is gonna play Sony off. There must have been some troubles down the PlayStation Network line because it took forever for this week's update. It was well worth the wait, especially for PSP owners.
We have the PlayStation 1 classic RESIDENT EVIL: DIRECTOR'S CUT available for both the PSP and PS3.
A demo for HOLY INVASION OF PRIVACY, BADMAN! hit the network. I can't wait to play this bad boy on my portable. If you're lookin' for some sweet old school retro-gaming, then this is your bag baby.
Finally, we've got another demo for a game I'm very excited about. ROCK BAND: UNPLUGGED! Awesome! A very unexpected demo, one I'm looking forward to.
Get the 411 here!
Competition Is Good

I love competition. It brings out the best in everybody. Look at the heroic battles during the 16-bit console era with the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. That was legendary, awesome stuff. I believe we're starting to see it once again during this console generation and E3 2009 is gonna enforce that.
Yesterday, Microsoft announced the ZUNE HD. We all thought the ZUNE MP3 player line was dead. However, Gates and company aren't giving up yet and this latest incarnation has now become a full fledged entertainment device.
This gives everybody out there a little bit of heat. Especially for the Apple iTouch/iPhone and our beloved Sony PSP. You know what this means? Awesome more stuff for everybody.
Check out Gizmodo's impressions. They sound very positive.

Resident Evil Hits The PSN!

Tomorrow to be more precise. I can't wait! This is the start of some very cool PS1 classics that are finally going to hit the network. Now it's only a matter of time when Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII come smashin' down.
To get prepared for the awesome zombie apocalypse, I've been throwing a few zombie flicks on my PSP. George A. Romero's Day of The Dead and Zach Snider's awesome Dawn of The Dead remake. Both are great flicks and I highly recommend!
10 bones for a great classic on the go!

Rock Band Unplugged Reviews
They're starting to pour in and it's sounding pretty damn good!
Kotaku's Review - "Rock Band Unplugged is a wonderful addition to the franchise, full of addictive gameplay and quality production values that doesn't dilute the brand. It's the kind of game that will go a long way to reinvigorating the PSP library, thanks to its incredibly strong design and potentially limitless music library. There are a few minor technical quibbles, including some annoying load times and autosave pauses, but the rest of the game is sound. If you're at all interested in the Rock Band series or have enjoyed Harmonix's original PlayStation 2 rhythm game efforts, I can't think of a reason not to pick up Unplugged."
IGN's Review - "Rock Band Unplugged is a blast and I highly recommend it to people looking to jam on the go, but you do need to examine the cost/benefit side of things. Yes, the gameplay is amazing and a ton of fun, but this is well-worn territory of fans for the franchise. If playing World Tour gigs and hitting up Band Survival Mode every now and again is good enough for you -- and it is for me -- great. However, without any multiplayer you lose the true incentive to download new music and to keep this game forever and ever."
ZTGD Review - "Rock Band Unplugged is a great addition to the family, even with its shortcomings. The World Tour Mode and Band Survival offer more than enough challenge for the music fanatic on-the-go and the track listing is great granted you don't mind a lot of repeat tracks. Lack of multi-player is this game's biggest downfall, and one that will ultimately decide it's fate in the months to come. If you simply cannot get enough Rock Band and own a PSP, this new take on the series could be just what you are looking for. The challenge is steep, even for veterans, and the idea of jamming anywhere, anytime is certainly an appealing thought."
This is a title that obviously has huge public interest and I am definitely one of them. My fear was how it would translate to a solo portable experience, minus instruments of course. Looks like my fears are at rest. I can't wait to pick this puppy up.

PSP Updates
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron - Nice! A sequel to the sweet PSP title has been revealed through the ESRB.
Finaly... They Arrive! - Thank you ESRB! They reveal several Playstation One titles hitting The Playstation Network such as METAL GEAR SOLID and RESIDENT EVIL: DIRECTOR'S CUT. Hell yeah!
Sony Considers Music Downloads for PSP - Why not? You got built in WI-FI. Charge a buck a song. You know? Just like the iTouch/iPhone.
SCEE: “PSP Is Going For A Younger Market” - This is a great move by Sony Europe. A website pumping up the portable to youngsters.
