Peter Moore Remembers The DC. PLUS! New Sonic!

Former Sega hot shot and now mega-EA Sports dude, Peter Moore remembers his time at the house that built Sonic. Check out his BLOG POST HERE! It's great stuff!

Finally, Sega has officially announced a brand new 2D Sonic game for 2010. Hooray! It appears the title will have a brand new engine, built from the ground up. Whoopee. I don't think I'm the only one who didn't have a problem with the Hedgehog Engine from Sonic Unleashed, it was gorgeous stuff and it's 2D stages were phenomenal. Crap, Sega. You already have a fantastic engine, just start building a friggin' game and get it out sooner. ARGH AGAIN!

The Force Returns On The PSP!

Recently, I've been replaying my Star Wars PSP titles. The Force Unleashed and Rogue Squadron: Renegade Squadron have been entertaining my portable needs. It makes me curious about October 1st and the availability of these past titles on the PSN. Hmmm...

Looking forward, Lucasarts is making a sequel to Renegade Squadron entitled Elite Squadron. I'm very excited about this latest title! I'm a proud owner of one of the original Renegade Squadron, white PSP-2000 bundles. However, new Star Wars is sexy time, very nice!

Happy Dreamcast, The Beatles & Apple Day!

It's 09/09/09 day and that means a whole lot of awesome things in the pop world.

First, it's the Dreamcast's 10th anniversary. Happy Birthday DC! For those with PSP's, pick up Crazy Taxi, The Power Stone Collection or the latest Soul Calibur title to enjoy a little taste of the past.

Second, The Beatles Rock Band is released alongside their MONO/STEREO CD remasters. Very awesome stuff indeed!

Finally, the big curiosity for PSP owners is Apple's 2009 iPod Keynote. They unveiled several new price points and a new iPod NANO which looks delicious. Good news for SONY is that the iTouch line wasn't updated at all. Rumours of a 16GB iTouch pricing at $199 were silenced today. The old 8GB models will be priced at $219 Canadian while the next step up, a 32GB model is at $329 Canadian.

There you go SONY, you're still clear to release your overpriced 16GB PSPGo at $249. ARGH!

So How Does It Play?

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is one of my favourite Nintendo DS games. Everything you enjoyed from GTA IV and it's massive Liberty City comes to life in this portable title. Great graphics, sound and gameplay it also featured multiplayer and online rankings. It is a title too robust and awesome for NDS owners, they bypassed it and bought Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp instead.

Today, the title is receiving a well deserved second and third shot on Sony's PlayStation Portable and Apple iPhone/iTouch. Many people were curious about how the game would port from the NDS to the PSP. Sadly, the updated port will not include voice over work, nor vocal music. However, things sound very positive from KOTAKU and IGN. Check out their fine impressions below. I can't wait to get this baby on October 20th! Enjoy.
